A friend of mine gave me this orchid. The tag says "lc knoxredhead x cnt why not roundabout".
Can anyone tell me what this means?

We can see by the flowers it's derived from a Laelia. LC in this context = Laeliocattleya, indicating a bigeneric hybrid. Don't know what the CNT stands for - somebody else will probably pop up with that. The rest of it is the names of the two particular crosses that were crossed again to produce the batch of seedlings that your plant came from (the x here stands for "times" indicating the LC and the CNT were crossed).

After above looked at a couple online tables of orchid genera abbreviations and found no CNT, so maybe part of that got rubbed off your label.

Ctna stands for Cattleytonia so the plant was crossed with Cattleytonia Why Not `Roundabout`.
