I have several daylilies and tradescantias with well developed flower buds. Should I cut off the stems with these buds or leave them through the winter?

Hello rbg: thought I could respond as I left buds on some delphiniums and a carpet rose and they have bloomed, so i would suggest that it is up to you. I imagine the cold will get to them eventually and they will all die off by themselves. they are not likely to bloom unless we have more sunny mild weather. I usually leave the daylilies till jan or when they die off.and then remove the grey leaves.
