    hello,

There seem to be a problem with olive
    trees (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Olive) caused
by small orange worms growing under the bark
and inducing dryness in young branches.
What kind of bug is it and how can I
    fight it?

    thank you all in advance

It doesn't quite seem to be one of the borers listed by the UC IPM Pest Management Guidelines for Olives, though it is difficult to tell with the photos available online. It looks like it might be best to confirm its identity with one your local cooperative extension offices (unless someone else can ID this here...) before taking the drastic measures recommended by UC for controlling borers in olives.

Thank you very much for your help

I'll contact an office to see if they can identify those borers.
