What type of grass is this?

    This grass is in my back yard. I really like it and would like to get as much information about it as possible. Thank you in advance for your efforts

    Eremochloa ophiuroides Centipede grass I believe

    Actually I was thinking one of the strains of Stenotaphrum secundatum, St. Augustine Grass.

    It could be, but with out a picture of the seed heads or stolons
    I couldn't be sure one way or the other.

    I mowed it not long ago, so there aren't any seeds. Is there something else I can take a picture of to help identify the grass?

    Not really, just wait 'til the grass grows out. Or just take a sample to
    a nursery or agricultural agent.

    Thanks Chris. I will let some of it grow to out seed and send another picture. I really like this grass and I want to do whatever I can to help it grow. Thanks again James
