How big, or old do windmill palms need to be for them to start producing the pods (either pollen or seeds)?
We have three mature windmill palms in our yard two male one female. There are lots of little palms that grow under the female after the seeds have dropped. We have transplanted a few around the pool and they are about two feet high (maybe a little bigger if you go by the top of the fronds over 4 feet). I’m excited to see if the other seven are male or female. Just wondering how many years I’m going to have to wait to find out. Thanks in advance!

A guess is a minimum of 10 years, but it would be nice if someone who has grown it from seed would step in.
