    Hello

I'm new to this bunch, so I hope I found the right place to pose my question.

The thumbnail is a poor photo of my juniper trees. Better photos will follow.

I want to know if trimming the base of these trees will harm them. They have been insitu for 11 years now, and the lower branches are starting to interfere with my bean patch.

Clip the whole top to make narrower, or move the beans. The hedge is way over on one side of the property, still hasn't filled in completely yet. Esp. with the amount of time it has taken for them to get this far, it seems a shame to spoil them so you can still get right up next to them, when you have all that other space.

As one looks at the "peaks" of the junipers along the back fence, there is green in between ... they are cedars planted in among the junipers as in Jun., Ced., Jun, Ced. etc.. Hence the weird looking configuration. The cedars were saplings from the bush when I planted them 4 years ago.
