What are these 'Orange Things'?

    Row of plants on right, with swollen bases look like bottle palms (Nolina, syn. Beaucarnea).

    Beaucarnea is not a true palm. It's fruits are dry and hard and smaller - 0.5 inches or less.

    The fruits in the picture look like palm nuts. I thought of betel nuts, but those are more elongated and more spindle shaped.
