I recently moved to the Texas Hill Country and purchased two potted plants, called Esperanza, lush with trumpet-shaped yellow blooms & perky green leaves. I haven't repotted them because I would like to transplant them in a big ceramic planter pot on my patio, but not sure if they would like that. I noticed yesterday the lovely yellow blooms are 'shrinking' and falling off, and both plants look 'droopy'. Could I have overwatered them? I used a pitcher filled with tap water to water them......only every other day. Thinking that since they were outdoors, in the sun, they needed watering often (no rain for days). I sure am hoping someone can give me some clues about caring for these two plants, as I've searched the Internet and can only find info regarding growing zone, hardiness, etc., but not about watering needs.
