Spreading shrub

    We do not have a photo of the plant in situ. Said to be a "shrub" 3.5 feet tall and 7 feet wide. Minnesota plant.

    @Bobs good afternoon Bob, it has the appearance of Catalpa speciosa specifically Northern Catalpa.

    Thanks. But are northern catalpa leaves toothed as these appear to be?

    Arilia racemosa has alternate leaves, ie one leaf per node. So that is confusing me your shrub has opposite leaves!!! Are there any berries?
