Having been inspired to try the " every lawn a garden" concept in my back yard I constructed a 20 X 30 ft "pottegier" ( sp?) garden..... as this whole area was a raised bed style, and using all the resources a one acre hobby farm can provide, I piled in as much soil, mulch, leaf mould and compost as I could. Now for a first year's efforts it was a smashing success. Flowers, perennials, shrubs, fruit trees, and a fine selection of vegetables. EXCEPT..... a total disaster on the raspberries. I'm sure I killed them with kindness, but appearantly it was root rot.
Now I'm determined to find a root rot resistant variety. Can I have the benifit of anyone's experience out there?
