Rabbits destroyed my seedlings, eating to ground level. Rabbits are carnivores and eat most vegetable that humans eat.

I installed a three foot chicken wire fence around susceptible rows of produce. Twenty feet on the long side and ten feet wide. A 100 feet long. It is supported by four rebar at the corners and four foot fiber glass rod woven through the mesh about five foot spacing. It is effective.

I tried an air driven scarecrow to no avail. The unit works well on trees like peaches, cherries and apples a small garden.

The fence is practical on a relatively small backyard garden.
