Identification: My Student is allergic

Discussion in 'Indoor and Greenhouse Plants' started by Unregistered, Feb 15, 2005.

  1. I am a teacher from New Hampshire. Year's ago my mother gave me a plant from her house that she calls a "pregnant onion". It has given a student in my class a rash on her arm. It is a bulb with long flat leaves. A 3 foot long stem recently grew from it with a spear of tiny white flowers. The "babies" form below the skin of the plant and fall to the ground around it.
    Any ideas?
