I need some help identifying some types of mold that I photographed and would like to have the scientific names to put on the labels in my show that I am setting up. Please let me know as soon as possible. I found these molds on my fence outside of my house. http://i859.photobucket.com/albums/ab156/KLBONE20/orangemold.jpg http://i859.photobucket.com/albums/ab156/KLBONE20/FenceMold.jpg
If the second one has tough gills on the underside, instead of either pores or a flat surface, then Gloeophyllum sepiarium. The habitat looks right for that mushroom. If a flat surface on the underside, then possibly a Steareum. cheers, frog
Great Calocera in picture 1. The second one really should be Gloeophyllum sepiarium (the gilled polypore), as Frog suggested first.
