    Hi,
I am trying to identify the type of bamboo that I have, and was hoping that somebody could help me.
The bamboo appears to be a clumping variety and is about 2 - 2.5 ft tall though some of the newer shoots are about 3 - 3.5 ft.

I have attached some pictures, any information greatly appreciated.

    thanks,
    xman

Foliage perhaps a little untidy for it but a common clumper where frosts are not severe is Bambusa glaucescens. Otherwise maybe a Pleioblastus. These run but running bamboos do not explode on every site - here in our dry summer climate golden, black and other running bamboos may remain in clumps for years.

    Ron, thanks.

I called the nursery that I got this from, and they said it was "feather" leaf bamboo.
I have heard of "fernleaf" bamboo, but not feather leaf bamboo.
Is there a "feather" leaf bamboo?

    thanks,
    xman

    Perhaps a mistake for "fernleaf".
