Hello all, I hope you can help...
4 years ago I planted 2 crimson honeysuckles. they did extremely well until this year.
last year, or the year before, I planted 3 more. they did well last year.
This year, all 5 are having trouble. They sprouted new growth and flower buds, but then the flower buds deformed and mutated. Then they turned black, along with the new shoots- almost as if they had been blowtorched!
I looked up red spider mites, but I dont see any witches brooms, nor do the little red bugs I've seen look like the pics of red spider mites.
Any ideas? I was going to spray the underside of the leaves with veg oil and dish detergent solution, but since I dont see any mites, webs or brooms, is there a point?
    Thanks for ANY help!
    Nicole
