I bought a clematis "avalanche" last April when it was in full bloom. So covered in white flowers you could barely see the leaves.
I have it in a protected spot on my 8th floor balcony facing south east.
It is currently covered in new buds and it's only mid January.
All the research I have done states that its flowering time is early spring, march/april.
Whats going on.I'm worried that if the flowers start opening in the next few weeks we may get a cold snap and all the flowers would die.
    Should I be concerned.
Why is it blooming so early ???

What has occurred with your clematis? Have the flowers opened? We've had only light frosts since you posted, so I hope your clematis is unscathed.
