Good afternoon M, I just wanted to say that I think your Kamagata is a lovely shape. Tbh if I had two, I would want one of each, tall and wide.

At half filled in, an airy presence.

I love it. I love that open airy structured habit. Whether it be created or naturally occurring.

Actually will be short lived, when filled in is pretty dense overall.

Edit 1 , no that's not right, gosh I'm rubbish at this. M @ROEBUK did this to me a couple of years back and I was sat right next to it. Lol.

I remember the whole Mark @ROEBUK tricking us for days with Felice. That’s what gave me the idea. You’re going to kick yourself given the second message I sent.

Darn it, of course it is. And guess what I'm sat in my garden right now and it's about 6ft away. I think I can hear it laughing AT me.

I had an Okushimo and loved the bright red petioles. They have a nice contrast to the dark green of the crinkled leaf. I sold mine though and not sure if I liked it enough to replace it. There are so many I want and with very little room left I have to be extremely picky lol

I have friends who call it a Marmite maple, you either love it or etc etc.
I love it tbh, it's the turned up leaves that I enjoy. So different to many other cultivars.
But I do see your point Luke. Time to be picky.

Good morning, I was expecting a wet start to the day here in Southern England, but the forecasters got it wrong again, but at least it's 7°C so no frost, they got that right.
Anyway here are a few from only minutes ago that I wanted to take and post and also to welcome back J @Jaybee63.

Fantastic idea. I don’t usually need an excuse to open a bottle of red, but this just gives it the edge ;-). Thanks Alain

Thanks Luke; You said on the phone that Mila was looking good, but as they say, 'a picture is better than a thousand words'. So two photos = 'wonderful' !! A definite winner.
All the others are looking amazing also. They are very happy trees indeed. Very difficult to stop being in the garden and just staring at them all. But hey, is there anything better to do in life than stare at maples. I think not.

Yesterday, rounded the corner a few houses away and was greeted by a 8-9' giraffe. Went back today with a camera. LOL
Staying on topic, from another view a nice 'Green Cascade' is cheery even with the giraffe towering in the background.

Good afternoon G, Emery asked for a photo of yourself with a maple not a giraffe, lol.
