C. Australis Troubles

Discussion in 'Outdoor Tropicals' started by Unregistered, Apr 26, 2004.

  1. I live in north Surrey on the lower mainland. My Cordyline Australis got pretty fried this winter. It is about 12 feet high, but the leaves a brown and yellow, hanging down pathetically. Does anyone know if theres any way I can bring this baby back to life? It'd be such a shame to cut it down, the things 12 feet tall!

Is it entirely yellow? Is the "trunk" still firm?

  3. Yes

The leaves are yellow and mstly brown, completely dead. The trunk is still firm and strong.

    Still Hope

Give it some time.... you may want to cut back on the trunk a bit until you find something that looks viable. Also, these are known to sprout from the roots as well.

    Good luck!
