    It certainly looks like Aristolochia cathcartii Hook. f.
    I wonder if it is common to find them in northeast India, because in 20 years of my wanderings there, I had never seen one before.

    They are widely grown in Assam, Arunachal and Bhutan thick forests.EArlier they was big and people never travelle near them.They live on sucking insect.They give nice hney like smell and insect peeps into it and then the lid get closed.This is how they live.The only kind of plant in the world still eisting.
