While doing fieldwork in the northern Rockies I came across this almost-blooming plant in one of our plots. At first I thought 'kneeling Angelica' (Angelica genuflexa) but the primary leaflets are not reflexed and I think that's a pretty definitive trait. The soft stalks all grew out of a basal clump. The site was moist but not wet, in forested subalpine. It doesn't seeeem to match up to any of the other Angelicas native to BC. Help?
