Identification: Angelica sp?

While doing fieldwork in the northern Rockies I came across this almost-blooming plant in one of our plots. At first I thought 'kneeling Angelica' (Angelica genuflexa) but the primary leaflets are not reflexed and I think that's a pretty definitive trait. The soft stalks all grew out of a basal clump. The site was moist but not wet, in forested subalpine.

It doesn't seeeem to match up to any of the other Angelicas native to BC.

Help?

 

Might it be Osmorhiza sp????

Have a look at Osmorhiza purpurea specifically. I agree that it is not likely to be an Angelica.
