Alligator on a Palm Tree!

    The other day I was along the shore of the St Lucie River when I came across this 4ft alligator laying on the trunk of a leaning Sabal Click for more gator pics

    Thought it was going to be on the top of the palm, waiting to jump down on anyone going by!

    Interesting that the palm is able to survive having its trunk under water.

    That's a extreme high tide. The base doesn't sit in water 24/7. :) As the tide goes out, the limb'll be exposed once again... :D
    A very cool shot nonetheless...
