I was wondering if anyone could tell me what is wrong with this cactus (And if you happen to know the name of it would be great) Anyways the tips of this cactus are going sort of brown/black. I dont know if I should cut off the effected areas or what? Funny thing is it does have new tips growing on it so I am not sure what is wrong? Thanks for your help in advance!
Perhaps it is Austrocylindropuntia subulata (monstrose form?). Not sure about the brown parts. Hard to see -could be rot, but maybe not. I'd wait to see if it shrivels or feels mushy before cutting it off.
