Sorry about the image quality, it's from a cellphone. I found this plant back in mid-August on a trail in the north shore mountains near Vancouver.
Thought it was Mahonia aquifolium also at first, as the leaflets appear to have 1 central vein, versus 3 in M. nervosa. Maybe the multiple veins just aren't obvious in the photo.
