My climatis is very happy and growing like gangbusters. there is one problem I see, something is eating it's leaves. I turn them over and don't see anything. Aphids are easy to see, but there are none on it. Does anyone have any ideas?
    Love to hear from you.

Hi Justpeg--sounds like your clematis is able to outgrow the pest, whatever it is.

What shape and size are the holes/munches?

Leafcutter bees this time of year will take large roundish sections out of the margins of soft leaves like perhaps your clematis, but this is just a wild guess.

Aphids suck plant juices, so you wouldn't see any chewing from them anyway.

    thank you Growest,
I never knew there was such a bee. The munches are as you described. The plant is thriving. It's " Blue Ravine" and it loves where it is. I'm not worried too much.
    Thank you.

    Hey Rob,
I totally forgot. Aphids are the first culprits that come to mind. lol. Anyway, even if they were there doing something else. I don't see any. Thanks for the reminder
