I purchased Black tulip magnolia this year. The tree was not in bloom. All of a sudden magnolia bloomed on September 1st with light pink color. Is that even possible that black tulip can bloom in pink? Thank you!

Well, it is supposed to be a dark pink bloom.

The "second spring" autumn flowers that some plants will go through some years have buds / flowers that undergo development in conditions that are different than the typical spring flowers. I think that is why you are seeing colour variation in the tepals (petals) instead of a consistent dark pink.
