Every year I have a crop of Cleome serrulata in my wildflower beds, and they are indeed beeplants ... the bees love them (see attached photo). These don't seem to be agressive bees as I can weed among them with no problems. Later in the season, the plants become 'birdplants' as the house sparrows like to perch on the branches and eat seeds from the pods.
