I was walking through a field with a friend and we found this plant that looks like marijuana. I don't think it is and he says it is. Please let me know what this plant is... Thanks..
it's a Potentilla (cinquefoil) - there are many species. If it were here in Wyoming, I would guess P. gracilis or something close
Potentilla gracilis, common name Fivefinger cinquefoil or Slender cinquefoil, ranges far into Canada. I'd say that's what you have there.
