We spent a wonderful week in Vancouver and saw this beautiful and unusual (to me) flower. Can you tell me it's name and more about it?

I was in Vancouver at Granville Island around the same time last year and got a photo that was quite similar.

    Thanks

Thank you all for your help. I had a feeling this flower might be related to something we have in our yard because of the distinctive blue center. I was right. And thanks for the compliment on my photo. BTW the spelling I had to use to find the web site is Osteospermum. Now I'm going to see if I can grow the spoon variety in Agoura Hills, California.
