Our pink dogwood is about 15 years old and I recently noticed that the tips of a number of leaves are turning from green to a very pale cream colour. Does anyone know what would be causing this?
It did not bloom very well this spring, but the previous few years were among the best ever. I had attributed its improvement to the unusually hot dry springs and summers which had allowed it to recover from anthracnose blight after a number of years of doing rather poorly.

I've now added a picture. The new leaves seem to emerge without the white tips. The white tips have now been there a couple of weeks, and have not yet curled or turned brown, but we've never seen this white before and it is on most large leaves.

Maybe you'd like to put up a picture.

Possibly something like a magnesium deficiency.
