I have a 30' monkey puzzle tree in my garden in Ireland, it is generally healty but recently i noticed some unusual growth on some of the lower branches see pictures attached. There are a few dead branches on the tree, but I think this is common. Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated
Might be scale insects, but can't tell for sure. Whatever they are, the tree looks excellent, so I'd not bother trying to do anything about them.
