I took these photos around the third week in March, just as the plums were coming into blossom. These are the best photos I have of the magnolia until next year! Thanks.

Thanks Ron. A week or so after I came across this magnolia at QE Park, I took a photo of another magnolia, nearby in the Park (29th and Cambie) that appeared to have a similar flower. Because the from of the tree is quite different, I wonder if it is the same. The attached photo shows a lower branching pattern. If this is also 'Caerhays Belle', is it common to cultivate different forms; single stemmed versus a lower, multi-stemmed form?

Yes, the second one looks like it is producing the flowers of 'Caerhays Belle' also - and the differences in number of main stems and current level at where side branching begins has no diagnostic significance.
