    Hi,

I bought a Dracaena literally today (two plants in one planter), got home and the taller one seems quite loose..

It may be from where i was carting it around the garden centre and the vibrations have caused it to loosen..

    If not is this bad?

You could see if it lifts right out of the soil and has no roots. Depending on what the garden centre is like, you could have been sold a new cutting, in which case I would take it back and not shop there again, unless it was very inexpensive. But maybe it came in that way from their supplier, and they would like to know that.

These plants usually do fine being propagated like that. You can firm up the soil around the plant and add a little more soil if that lowers the soil level too much.
