Hello... I was gifted this Phalaenopsis (I am assuming...very new to these plants) two years ago and have had nice blooms: this year I bought coir bark online and repotted and now I am seeing this on the leaves. I water correctly and do not leave this indoor orchid in direct sunlight.
I noticed the 'fresh' new large chew this morning: sprayed the leaves/crevices and top of the coir with Safer's Insecticidal Soap this morning in desperate need to do something! Any ideas as to the safety of online purchase of coir (was a bag via amazon.ca)
Yikes! Did a critter come in on the new 'soil'? Any suggestions for this newbie are MUCH appreciated.
