    Hello!

I am highly allergic to mould. I would appreciate some advice as to how I can kill the mould that has grown in/on the soil of some houseplants.

The houseplants that came with my rental apartment, and are owned by my landlord, are:
    - dumb cane
    - Kaffir lily, or Bush lily, or Clivia miniata (this one's mine)
    - Anthurium Andraeanum, or Flamingo lily
    - Dracaena marginata, or Dragon tree

    All advice will be appreciated!

I have had good results with cinnamon.
Try mixing some into the soil. It has excellent antifungal properties, and is not toxic to people or pets.

Couple of years ago, my schefflera developed a persistent mold problem. After 2 or 3 liberal applications of powdered cinnamon, the mold disappeared and the plant (and the soil!) has remained healthy since.

Thank you very much! I will do as you suggest tomorrow. I'm looking forward to a relatively mould-free environment.
