And on the west side of Windsor, at the NE corner of 30th, there's a baby Akebono around the corner from its brethren on 30th:

The pink one has single flowers, so not 'Accolade'. 'Afterglow', maybe.
How about never appearing on the map? That's just sad.

When I expand the photo and zoom in, I can see fuzzy stems and sepals shaped like my 'Afterglow' photos. [Edited] I see now that they're already on the map, as 'Afterglow'.

They've been a loooooong time coming, but things are starting to pop in Kensington-Cedar Cottage. Here is one Akebono at 30th & Windsor in full bloom, with its brethren slightly behind it in development:

Here is one good-looking 'Kanzan' tree, seemingly ungrafted. I'm surprised how stiff and straight the branches are, a very different aspect from the swoopy branches we see on the grafted trees. I can't imagine that this would be some other cultivar. It's just starting to bloom. On the north side of Kingsway just east of Gladstone.

There are two lovely exemplars of the Sargentii hybrid cultivar on the East side of Windsor between 33rd and 31st Ave. They're just beginning to drop petals now, but they still look pretty nice. I'd upload photos, but I'm having trouble with that.

Further east, still on 29th Ave., but on the east side of Knight Street, we have the planting of Ukon cultivars on the south side of the street, with some Kanzans on the north side:

I apologize for posting these out of order - these photos were taken on April 16th, but I just managed to figure out how to make them small enough to post here. This is walking north on Windsor Street from 33rd to 31st, and we had a Sargentii hybrid, a rancho, a baby rancho at the McBride Annex school, and another Sargentii hybrid.

And today, in that same block of Windsor, this time walking south from 31st, I encountered a Shirofugen in full bloom and two baby apparently ungrafted Kanzans.

The 'pendula' white single (called?) on 30th Ave. just east of Fraser (on private property) is in full bloom (I think):
