    Hello,

I planted two Hicks Yews two years ago and I have not pruned them because I would like them to grow taller. However, they are now looking quite spindly and splayed. They receive southern, part-sun exposure.

I am planning to prune the side shoots and just let the top ones grow. Do I need to provide support as well?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions,
    Christine

Depends on why they look the way they do. Remedy must be the right one for the particular malaise for it to be effective.
