Is there another name besides fascicularia bicolor? I have no idea how to pronounce this!

Fascicularia (Banded, bundled) fas-sik-yoo-LAR-ee-uh [Courtesy of 'Dave's Garden' botanary] I would replace the 'uh' at the end with 'a', but then I am not N. American.

This North American says it larry-uh. Another North American has it growing outdoors in a rockery (Seattle, WA), says there is a problem in cultivation with another, less hardy species usually being grown in its place.

    Hi, Ron B,
It grows well in Ireland (F. bicolor) but after -12C of frost we will see how it fares when spring gets going. Several other plants we would regard as 'exotica' have bitten the dust (or snow)
