    The Alps are alive with flowers at the moment thanks to the cold month of June we had!

    Very nice Edelweiss! This one is worth adding to the Botany Photo of the Day list. Location and altitude would be useful.

    Photo taken in Switzerland, Mauvoisin (in the val de Bagnes, near Verbier) at approx. 1500 meters.

    Hi Daniel & Michael,
    I am happy to have a beautiful eidelweiss as a photo of the day.
    The thing is, I have sooooo many photos to give you!
    Is there a way to make a slide show of some of the flowers I meet on my alpine walks?

    I was searching for a photo of a eidelweiss and immediatly came across your picture
    which is fantastic I am looking to print this flower onto a funeral service sheet and was wondering if the jpeg could be forwarded on please It's a great shot
