I live in Nanaimo, Vancouver Island if that makes any difference.
Have just seen a wonderfully shaped (pruned ) arbutus.

I would like to know the growth rate.
I understand that at full growth it can be 30 meters (about 90 feet? ) which worries me a little.

Would appreciate any feedback about growth rate.
    Thank you.

That's exceptional - around 10-20m is more normal for a mature specimen.

Annual growth would typically be about 20-30cm per year for the first 20-30 years or so, then a bit slower as it gets older.

Largest specimens may be quite old.

The tallest almost always seem to be in forested situations where they compete for light at the top of the canopy. Specimens grown in open sites are generally shorter, but in time will reach great proportions.
