Curious Yellow Flower

    Well, I am back again with another customers plant id!




    I was told that this plant is a bush, (2x2) and that it is blooming now in the Northeast.
    It grows in the sun, I believe.

    That is really all I know. Wait, no, the lady told me that the plant hadn't been growing (they cut it down) and it just popped up this season.

    Ideas?

    A cultivated form that looks generally like this is H. frondosum 'Sunburst'.

    So embarrassing!

    I sell St. Johns Wort and didn't recognize it...ahhh.
