I have a spot that may suit an A. unedo nicely. Are they evergreen on the BC coast (i'm in Tsawwassen and it would be fairly sheltered by the houses on either side)?

Evergreen everywhere, unless dead. And probably pretty hardy at your place, if you are near the beach at all. Do you get blasted by Fraser winds or does your spot seem mild?

Quite sheltered as the trees on the north end of our yard take the brunt of the winds. We get some good windstorms but where the A. unedo will be is fairly sheltered.

Thanks for that Ron, sounds like we have a winner tree for that spot!
