Identification: Yellow fungus on rotten log

    would like to know what that this big fungus is

    it gets half shade/ half sun

    feels hard on touch,

    oops, there is a second id needed

    picture in the middle shows a different type, feels soft, more jelly like

    I checked on both fungi, #1 turned white
    #2 hardened and looks a lot like a turkeytail, at the time I first spotted it, it had been raining a lot, now it's sunny and warm and it dried up

    I suggest Pycnoporellus alboluteus for consideration.

    thanks for the suggestion, I think the p. alboluteus is more common in the western us, the fungus in question is growing in arkansas, by checking some mushroom websites, I find similarities with the trametes kind-

    but I am not absolutely confident about it
