Weedy vine, white and purplish flowers

    This vine has been having a very good year in our garden. I thought it was some kind of morning glory and waited for it to flower to nail down the identification. I was surprised to see flowers that look nothing like a morning glory.

    Three leaflets. White and purplish flowers. Can you identify it?

    Looks like Hog Peanut.

    Yeah, that's got to be it. Mine isn't as hairy as many of those pictured on the web, but there appears to be a fair amount of variation in the species.

    And two kinds of fruit on one vine? What a strange plant.
