I planted a trumpet vine last summer and it did well. Do you cut them back each year? I am not sure if this one made it. It looks pretty dry!!

    Hi Patty,

I'm thinking when you say trumpet vine you mean campsis radicans. I found that in my zone 7 garden it was the last to leaf out in spring and the first to lose it's leaves in fall. It blooms on new wood, so you can cut it back in early spring. Eventially it will be popping up all over the garden, your neighbor's garden, down the street, etc so not to worry. You'll have plenty of it.
