I have acquired a Trailing Bamboo but I'm not sure where to put it. I can't find much info on it either. Could anyone advise how it grows (spreads or climbs) and where I should plant it (sun/shade ground/basket etc.)

    cheers

Does it have a tag with botanical name, or a supplier with such information?

Well, if it is indeed Agrostis stolonifera, it is one of those interesting plants that get the name native invasives in North America (I suppose it is much expanded beyond its original range because of its general weediness). It is found in almost every state and province in North America, including Alaska, Hawaii and Florida (to give an idea of where it'll grow).

In short, I wouldn't put it anywhere near the ground or allow it to seed.
