    I make no excuse for sharing more pictures of this little evergreen shrub, because it is one of my favourites. The only regret is that I won't be able to transmit it's amazing fragrance to you.

    I wait with batted breath at this time every year for the blooming of this unassuming, evergreen low shurb, Sarcococca hookeriana var humilis. And it has finally arrived, and does not disappoint. It's fragrance seems even stronger this year, with the recent warmer day time temperatures. Even the bees have decided to come out early this year to enjoy the dimunitive flowers. In fact, this is the earliest I have seen bees up and about in the 20 years that I have been gardening in Coquitlam!

    This is a nice plant and you have a very nice specimen by the looks of it!
