Ornamental Cherries at UBCBG 2021

    Well, it's still 2021, so I'm posting these 'Whitcomb' blossoms in this thread, though they're really kicking off the 2022 season. I think they were opening before my eyes. I saw no flowers, then one lone flower, then one group, then another group, then a few more. It is not unusual for 'Whitcomb' and 'Accolade' to open a few flowers at the beginning of the year, and even a month or two before that. And 'Autumnalis Rosea' are supposed to start doing that in October, being closely related to 'Jugatsu-zakura', Cherry of the 10th Month.
