Ok so we moved into this house in May last year. We are now the proud owners of a monkey puzzle tree. Neighbours say there is a tpo. Is it wise to cut off say 3 ft from the bottom. Thanks

If it has a TPO on it, you'll need to get permission from the Council for any pruning work other than removal of dead branches. Pruning off the lowest few branches shouldn't do it any harm, but it is important to get that permission first.
