Some of the tomatoes that I've grown look fine, but when you cut into them, the flesh is a bit "mealy". It doesn't seem to matter whether they were totally vine-ripened, or finished indoors. Any ideas?

Variety, weather and too much water could be the culprits. I also have had this happen to some of the early types that do not require pollination (parthenocarpic) to set fruit, i.e. Legend, etc.
