Magnolia oyama sieboldii stressed

    This little magnolia was initially planted in part shade, but is now in full sun due to the removal of some fir trees eight feet behind it. The leaf tips are turning brown and the leaves yellowing, so it is clearly stressed. It did the same thing last year when the fir were providing some shade, so I'm wondering what the problem is. It's small enough to move, but I don't want to move it unnecessarily .
